Smart Energy House

The Smart Energy House at 51吃瓜 appropriately earned its name by installing  equipment that maintains efficiency, sustainability and smart energy.  Equipment installed in the 2,000 square foot, three bedroom home includes a smart meter to control appliances remotely, and solar thermal technology to heat water. Other features of the house include automated Venetian blinds controlled by sunlight and temperature, a charging station for an electric car, 20 solar panels, a 鈥淲iser鈥� system that controls equipment to conserve energy, smart plugs and programmable thermostats.  The house is the latest in Farmingdale鈥檚 ongoing commitment to being a "green" campus.
