Lupton Hall Window Replacement Phase 2
The "Replace Windows Lupton Hall – Phase 2" project (SUCF Project No. 261054-00) focuses on replacing select windows and upgrading other key features of the building to improve energy efficiency and functionality. This phase includes the replacement of all overhead and swinging exterior doors, as well as the IRTT skylight. Additionally, obsolete mechanical equipment at the IRTT will be removed, and restoration work will be done on exterior lintels and associated masonry. These upgrades aim to enhance the building's energy efficiency and overall condition. The project is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025.
University Police Department:
The "Partial Renovation at University Police Headquarters" project (FSC Project No. 2023-06) involves extensive work to upgrade the University Police Headquarters, transforming an existing 1,000-square-foot greenhouse structure into an emergency response center, training facility, and high-security storage area. The project includes selective demolition of walls, foundations, roofing, finishes, and equipment, along with environmental remediation. Proposed improvements include new footings, foundations, roofing, walls, finishes, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical work to support the new use of the space. Additionally, a 500-square-foot standalone storage building will be constructed next to the headquarters to store supplies and equipment. The project is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025.
Sinclair Hall Renovations:
The "Rehabilitate Sinclair Hall" project (SUCF Project No. 261049-00) involves extensive renovation and upgrades to the building. Sinclair Hall will be receiving a complete renovation to accommodate the growing number of students and their needs. The project includes abatement and demolition of parts of the exterior, such as glazed aluminum systems, doors, and masonry walls, as well as interior components. The existing membrane roofing system will be replaced, and the building’s exterior envelope will be improved with new aluminum framed curtain walls, storefront systems, and insulated panels. The interior will undergo a complete gut renovation to transform the space into a modern academic facility, with upgrades to HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and the installation of a fire sprinkler system. The project will also include site improvements, utility upgrades, and a new steel-framed, 2-story addition. The forecasted completion is set for the first quarter of 2027.
Inner Campus Grounds Rehabilitation Phase 4:
The Site Infrastructure Phase 4 project (FSC Project No. 2023-05) focuses on rehabilitating and improving the interior campus grounds. The work includes the demolition of existing exterior pavements, curbs, ramps, stairs, site lighting, and other amenities to make way for the construction of new asphalt parking areas, drives, decorative concrete pavement, curbs, ramps, and site lighting. Additional improvements will include the installation of exterior signage, landscaping, tree removal, and overall maintenance of sidewalks, roadways, and other campus infrastructure. These upgrades aim to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the inner campus grounds. The forecasted completion for the project is set for the third quarter of 2025.
Steam Distribution Replacement:
The Steam Distribution Replacement Phase 2 project SUCF Project No. 261045-00 at Farmingdale State College involves the demolition and removal of the existing steam distribution system to make way for a more efficient system. The scope of work includes removing plumbing and mechanical piping in various buildings, the Heating Plant, and Utility Tunnels, as well as demolishing pipe racks, lighting fixtures, and selected portions of the Tunnel. Additionally, the project covers the removal of direct-buried piping and certain site items. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment, and will ensure that all demolished materials, unless marked for salvage, are removed from the site. The project is expected to be completed by Q4 2027.
Roosevelt Hall Renovations:
The Roosevelt Hall Renovation Project (SUCF Project No. 261002) involves a comprehensive overhaul of a 72,000-square-foot building constructed in 1960. Major improvements will also include new interior finishes, upgraded HVAC and fire protection systems, a new hydraulic elevator, and exterior enhancements such as reconfiguring walls and installing energy-efficient features. The renovation will modernize the building to provide additional student spaces, including a new multi-purpose room. The project is expected to meet LEEDâ„¢ Silver certification standards for sustainability and is forecasted for completion in the third quarter of 2025.
